Playing along with the genius of James Jamerson . For some reason the cam is out of sync with the sound. This one took months to learn.

My rendition of this J5 classic. Please note that this is not an accurate version of James Jamerson work.

The notation and TAB are available for this song…Hello
I was asked to make an arrangement for this song. I liked the bass part so much that I went ahead and transcribed it. This bass style reminds me of James Jamerson or Duck Dunn. Please note that I’ve sharpened the tuning by 60cents to get around WMG. This video in the original key can be viewed here….www.youplayalong.com

A half-muddled attempt at the classic Jamerson line by Boston Bassist, Joe Clark.
James Jamerson’s classic bassline, on mowtowns biggest seller. Heard it through the grapevine is an awesome song. The bass part is incredible especially considering Jamerson was pulled out of a pub by one of Marvin’s people and brought to the studio, pissed out of his mind, lay on his back in the recording room, had someone put his bass on his chest and play this! Incredible. What a player! Hope you like my version!
I will never be able to duplicate James Jamerson’s incredible feel. I do prefer playing without the track though. Playalong is a good guide but it’s a lot more difficult playing without it.
